This Privacy Policy applies to the Accountryx website (accountryx.app and any associated subdomains) and to Accountryx Desktop, the Windows application available on the Microsoft Store. It describes what information is collected, how it is used, and the choices available to you — including how to opt out of interest-based advertising.

2. This Website

The Accountryx website is a static informational site. We do not operate any first-party analytics, tracking pixels, or session recording tools on this site. We do not collect names, email addresses, or any other personally identifiable information through this website.

The site is hosted on Vercel. As part of normal web hosting, Vercel's infrastructure may log standard server-side data such as IP addresses, request timestamps, and browser user-agent strings for security and reliability purposes. This data is governed by Vercel's Privacy Policy and is not accessible to or used by us for marketing or profiling.

This site loads fonts from Google Fonts. Google may log font requests per their standard CDN practices. See Google's Privacy Policy for details.

3. Accountryx Desktop — Local Data Storage

Accountryx Desktop is an offline-first Windows desktop application. All accounting data you create or import is stored exclusively on your local device. This includes:

• Company profiles and settings
• Chart of accounts structures
• Journal entries, ledger data, and transaction records
• Imported spreadsheet data
• Financial statement configurations and notes
• Dashboard widget settings and preferences
• Application preferences (theme, color scheme, dark mode)

None of this data is transmitted to our servers. We do not operate any cloud sync, backup, or telemetry service that receives your accounting data. You are solely responsible for backing up your local application data.

The application is distributed through the Microsoft Store. Microsoft may collect installation and crash telemetry as part of the Store platform. This data is governed by Microsoft's Privacy Statement.

4. Advertising (Free Tier)

The Free tier of Accountryx Desktop is ad-supported. Advertisements are served by Microsoft Advertising (formerly Bing Ads) through the Microsoft Advertising SDK embedded in the application.

When the ad component is active, Microsoft Advertising and its partners may:

• Set or read cookies and persistent identifiers on your device
• Collect your Windows Advertising ID (an anonymized device-level identifier)
• Collect behavioral and interest signals to serve interest-based (targeted) advertisements
• Collect your approximate IP-based location
• Log ad impressions and interaction events

This data collection is performed directly by Microsoft Advertising within the ad frame and is governed by Microsoft's Privacy Statement and Microsoft Advertising Policies. We do not receive or process the behavioral data collected by the ad SDK.

5. How to Opt Out of Interest-Based Advertising

You have several options to limit or opt out of interest-based advertising served through Accountryx Desktop:

• Windows Advertising ID — Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → General on Windows and turn off "Let apps show me personalized ads by using my advertising ID." This resets and limits use of your Windows Advertising ID across all apps on your device.
• Microsoft opt-out — Visit Microsoft's opt-out page at account.microsoft.com/privacy/ad-settings to manage personalized ad preferences for Microsoft services.
• Upgrade to a paid plan — The Basic, Pro, and Lifetime plans of Accountryx Desktop are completely ad-free. Upgrading removes the ad component entirely and no ad SDK data collection occurs.
• NAI and DAA opt-out tools — For browser-based opt-out from participating ad networks, visit optout.networkadvertising.org or optout.aboutads.info.

6. Children's Privacy

Accountryx Desktop is professional accounting software intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). 7. Data Security

Because all application data is stored locally on your device, its security depends on the security of your device and operating system. We recommend keeping your Windows OS and Accountryx Desktop updated, and ensuring your device is protected with appropriate access controls.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. The current version is always available at this URL. Continued use of Accountryx Desktop or this website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
